This has been overall a good drug for my fibro symptons. It's helped with the some of the pain, exhaustion and morning stiffness but the best part has been no brain fog. Bad symptons: Headaches, nausea (peppermint helps that), dry mouth and a metallic taste, BUT something that my doctor says is not a side effect is HUNGER. I'm hungry all the time and did gain about 10 lbs. I thought it was just me until I had a problem getting my prescription filled and didn't take it for about a week. No hunger at all. I was just wondering if anyone else had this side effect? I do experience chest pains some and palpitations but I've had that with the fibro so unsure if it's from savella. I also can't take the recommended dosage. I have to take 25mg in the morning and 50mg at night because of the headaches and nausea. by DILLON from Omar, WV
I started taking this med about 3weeks ago and it is a small dose 0.25 mg, however I feel weird in the head and get dizzy alot and cant sleep well. Does anyone experience this and does my dosage need changed? my dr tells me it is to small of a dose to cause side effects. by WAYNE from Indiana, PA
I have been on this drug for about four-five months. Suicide was not one of the reasons for it. However, I noticed a considerable increase in ideation. I have not gained any weight. I sweat like I am in the Bahamas everyday weather it is freezing cold outside or not. I seem to be more depressed, lazy and have more anxiety than ever before. I now have changed my doc and will change meds too. The sexual side effects really bother me, mostly because I can not achieve a full peak. Sex is not normally a big issue for me but when I want to feel that release and can't that really effects my husband's manhood. One last thing about this, I truly believe that I have been going through the change of life because of this medication and at 31 I should be at the best part of my life. Have taken since stent insertion Jan. 2007. No bleeding or bruising problems. Never considered sore muscles, joints and cramping from plavix till I read the reviews. Also had noticed forgetfullness and slight confusion at times. Attributed it to turning 65 until I read reviews. Howerer it is also attributed to long term use of lipitor. I have Neuropathy in my feet, lower legs and mouth, throat and tongue. Was on Oxycodone (20mg ER 2xs) & Percocet (for breakthru pain)for 12 years. I was taking more and more Percocet because my whole mouth hurt so much. Saw 2 ENTs and was finally given the diagnosis about my mouth. What a bad surprise! And I am now narcotic free after spending two weeks at a clinic. I am now taking 50mg of Tramadol, which is like taking nothing at all. Pain level just keeps going up & down, but the constant pain (9 at times) never goes away. Will ask for higher dose. Side effects: sweating, walk like I just got off a boat (rocking motion), eyes hurt, dizziness, headache, nausea, shaking, agitation, dry mouth, clenched teeth, blurred vision, feel very unsteady. These come about 2 hrs before my next dose except for the 1st three (which are always there) and continue for another 2 hrs til the drug starts working. Will ask for higher dose. Also take Neurontin 200mg. It hasn't done anything yet. Will ask for much higher dose. One thing is for sure--no more narcotics!
