Ihad been on Dilantin for over 30 years, my present Neurologist changed me to this drug because he noted the extensive nerve damage in my legs and advanced osteoarthritis which he contributed to the Dilantin. Other than the occasional anger flair ups at the most mundane situations, and the restlessness in th e middle of the night, and insomnia, I've had no adverse reaction. It is certainly better than living in the constant fog I had been under for over 30 years with Dilantin which still allowed 2-4 seizures to occur per year. I suspect that the anger flair ups will subside once my body adjusts and the proper dosage is worked out.
