This medication Trazodone-I take to help me sleep. It does work for that. I do usually get approx. 6-7 hrs of sleep with this med. But it does have side effect like: wierd or vivid dreams, and weight gain. I have gain almost 5-6 lbs in the last 3 weeks taking this med. I seem to be very hungry all the time and want to eat 3-4 times a day. I used to only snack and eat 1 big meal for dinner. This Trazodone also seems to be causing me to retain fluids. I have OA (which I think its more like RA) because of the swelling and joint pain on both sides of body and pain & stiffness in morning that lasts up to 2 hrs. Also have fibromyalgia and deg. disc disease in back with constant low back pain. I think Im going to ask Dr to switch this med and put me on muscle relaxer instead (used to be on Flexeril and that helped more and did not cause such side effects like this Trazodone)- Good luck to those taking this and remember to tell your DR if you experience any of the side effects of this med immediately! by JAE from Sunset Beach, CA
