I have just completed day 1 of treatment (250mg x2d) and it has been a horrible experience. First one I took right before work and I felt very disoriented, irritable and slightly ill. After my second dose I didn't feel like myself, I felt out of it and very tired, I decided to go to bed and ended up not getting ANY sleep. I ended up randomly crying and have been feeling extremely paranoid and anxious. I am still very tired and feel as if I am drunk as well as sore throat, body aches, naucious, headache and itchy hands. The taste of the pill was gross but did not bother me, I just quickly chased it with some tea. I've been taking Clonidine for 7-8 years. At first it made me feel awful, hard to explain but I never felt well, tired, sluggish, out of sorts. My doctor wanted me to try using this medication in a patch form since he's prescribed this med. to be taken 3 times a day. I couldn't handle the patch and it was not covered by my insurance. All I know is that Clonidine effects your central nervous system so if you're sleepy while taking it that's why. It can cause nightmares as well and lately I seem to be having my share. DO get your eyes checked yearly for Beclate Inhaler can damage the retina. How can a drug company allow such side effects and not be stopped from marketing this dangerous drug.
