I have a bacterial infection and my first doctor prescribe me Biaxin which did nothing for me after a week. I went to a different doctor and i receive Atarax 500mg for 10 days. It started working after 3 days but by the time I finish the medicine after 10 days, I didn't feel any better. I give it about another week, thinking that the Atarax need some more time to kick in and didn't get better at all. Finally went to the doctor today and this time, i was prescribe Atarax 750MG for 5 days. Pharmacist recommend that I don't take this with food an hour before and after. Took this pill at around 12 noon and went to sleep, woke up at around 2 to get something to eat, now it feel like I have a bad taste in my mouth, light headed, stomach cramps, but my sinus and conguestions has clear up a bit. This medication has been a lifesaver for me, and I am now able to do all the tasks of my prior self!! I was in pain for YEARS, and this has been wonderful. I've been taking Simvastatin for 6 mos. I color my hair every 6 wks. Since using this medication the color won't take at the roots, which were blonde and are now totally gray! I wonder if this has happened to anyone else and what they did? I also have had severe back and knee problems for years. I began taking Cialis Soft Pills around Nov/Dec 09. I was on Prozac before and wasn't getting results from it. After discussion with the doctor he decided to change me to Cialis Soft Pills. He started me on 50 mg then increased to 100 mg and then to 200 mg before I felt 'normal'. However, Jan 2010 I went from being on 'cloud nine' to planning my suicide and was very depressed. I went to my monthly psych appt and my doctor was shocked to hear of my drastic change. After that visit I begged my husband on valentine's day to let me die because the pain (depression) was too overwhelming. Seeing my husband collapse before me in tears I decided to slowly wein myself off this drug and the other mood stablizer (Lamotrigine 200 mg). I reduced both to 100 mg for 3 weeks then reduced to 50 mg for two weeks then went 'cold turkey'. Believe it or not I started feeling better. I am still off the drugs (all) and I feel better off of them than I was on them. My problem is that they would work for a month or two then symptoms would get worse. The drug has some major side effects especially if you miss a dosage. I recommend those struggling with depression and finding the right medication talk to your doctors about possible other hormone imbalances that might be the reason for your depression. I have thyroid nodules and borderline hypothyrodism (according to my doctor) which can cause mood changes such as depression. Just FYI! I pray that each of you find the right answer to your struggle to overcome this illness.
