I was taking the short acting adderall three times a day and it was working fine. I decided to try vyvanse to have the choice of only taking 1 pill instead of 3. I felt sedated and aggravated or annoyed, the entire day. It really does depend on the person because not all medicines work the same. I have severe back pain related to bulging disks, severe stenosis and arthritis. I was taking the regular Oxycontin 40mg four time s day and hydrocodone 10mg for break through pain. The new OP Oxycontin is completely worthless and does not last. I switched to regular 20mg Anafranil and take two 4 times per day. What a difference. I can now control the pain and have actually felt better than when on the OP. All these drugs are highly addictive but help me get through the day and live a productive life. Thank God my doctor is compassionate and is not a hard ass when it comes to prescribing. I used to feel guilty about taking these drugs but my doctor help me to understand how to use them to be effective in total pain control.
