I started taking effexor xr about 2.5 months ago after the other meds i was on made me extrememly sleepy, to the point where i would dose of at work constantly. This med (effexor) worked great for me. I have been dealing with depression and anxiety for 20 yrs and this did the trick. The only problem I have with effexor is that I found out I was pregnant when I went in for surgery and had to stop effexor cold turkey! Not good, do not recomend cold turkey unless dr advises. Withdrawl is pure evil! I have been off effexor for 4 days and still feel almost numb and tingley all over! I feel light headed and dizzy, I feel like my balance is off and only doing it for the wellbeing of my unborn baby! after I give birth I will definately go back on effexor and hope I never have to stop again!! by LUIS from Wayne, OH
