I have ADHD, impulsive, quick to respond and some anxiety. I have tried a litany of different meds. I have been on Wellbutrin for over a decade and will continue to do so. This helps me with focus, concentraton, etc. The Buspirone was introduced two months ago. There has been a definite improvement in my impulsiveness and ability to stay in a conversation without interupting. I am still working through the right dose. I got as high as 50 mg a day, but that left me a little "rushy". I am down to 40 mg, but think it is a little low. I am now trying 45 mg for the next few weeks. If that is not enough, I will go back to 50 mg. The side effects for me have been the drop in energy about 45 minutes after I take the morning dose (split between 8am and 6pm). Sometimes, this dropo in energy can be really intense, but I know that it will pass within an hour (sometimes 1/2 hour). I also sweat sometimes when this hits. I am also experimenting with taking a smaller dose in the am and larger in the pm. I do have sleeping problems so want to watch how this will affect sleeping. by BRANDEN from Hopeton, OK
