I started taking this medicine in 1999 and had no side effects ever. I got off of it in 2005 and was fine after weaning off for just a week from 75 mg to 35mg to nothing. Then I got pregnant and had my daughter in 2007 and I was fine for like three months, then started to have anxiety. I went back on effexor. I started with 150 mg then went to 75 4 months later. I did fine ecxept I was tired alot. Then about six months after that, only being on it less then a year, I tried to get off it. I took 35mg for 2 weeks and was fine. Then boom, it just hit me. This medicine is a nightmare to get off of. I had severe nausea, brain zaps, dizziness,crying,fear.etc. I just tried to get off it again in Nov 2008 with no sucess. Sme thing happened. I dont know why I was ok getting off it in 2005 but not now. Why is it different? It has helped me alot with anxiety, but it is horrible to get off. The withdrawls are unbearable.
