I had been suffering from depression and increasing bouts of anxiety and inability to sleep for a few years. On 10mg day for about a month, so far so good. Side effects have been tolerable. Most noticeable was the nausea and loss of appetite for 1st 2 weeks. Have lost about 5 pounds, cravings for sugar and carbs are gone. Started taking at night a few hours before bed however, to try and deal with feeling unmotivated - that is about the only way I can describe it. I feel "lazy". The switch has been for a few days, and have noticed I feel more ambitious during the day, which is great. Issue now is headaches in the morning. My anxiety had been causing me chest pains and waking me up at night and the Topamax has completely helped that so it's been a godsend to have about 4 weeks of sleeping through the night, something I haven't had in about 4 years. very disapointed with this one. Have tried a few ADHD medications. If anything my attention span is worse, and im soo anxious and irritable. Get Manic. But no help with mental performance . Dont mind the stimulant effect and helps a little with my appetite but definatly going to get off. Thinking of trying Vavanse.
