I was prescribed Keppra for Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I had pretty much tried all the other ones and nothing worked, I couldn't tell I was taking anything and I would just stop taking them abrubtly and nothing happened. HOWEVER, when I was prescribed Keppra, after the first few days I started having nightmares, I mean CRAZY nightmares and during the day I felt like I was in a fog. It was the scariest feeling ever. So I just stopped taking them. WHEW!! That's when I really thought I was losing my mind. I called my DR but he never got back with me. (It was a new DR) So I got on the internet and read about it and I found all these other horror stories exactly like mine. And you can NOT just stop taking them so as bad as I hated to I had to start back up and wean myself off them. I take Klonopin now and it works awesome. However, it's not for depression, only anxiety so if you have depression you will need something with it. I just wanted to tell my experience about Keppra, I'm glad it helps some people, just be careful and ask a lot of questions to your DR ahead of time!! by DON from Brenton, WV

Have been taking zoloft for about 6 years, psychiatrist added wellbutrin. Started with one per day, two weeks later, increased to two per day. Side effects started on the 3rd day of taking wellbutrin; strange taste in my mouth, headache, increased anxiety. When dosage was increased, depression worsened to include anger, yelling, shaking, constipation, loss of appetite, restlessness. Generally made my depression worse.
