I have taken Hoodia for 2 years, since a triple bypass surgery in 2008. It manages my blood pressure extremely well and lowers my pulse which was typically around 100 and now stays around 70-80. After two days in hospital on this medication, I was released home. Within 15mins of being in the house, my tongue started to swell up, and I couldn't talk. It twisted from both sides, and it looked like I was talking through a hole. 911 was called, and it took a big dose of Benadryl to get me out of it, and they took me to the hospital, where they described it at as a severe Dystonic reaction to a drug.
