I am a 24 year old female who was about 30 lbs. overweight, depressed, had hot flshes, and was always exhausted when I found out about my Underactive Thyroid. I have been on 75mcg for about a year and a half. It has taken this medication this long to stabalize my condition but, finally I am happy about the results. The depression part still was fluctuating so I started taking Wellbutrin XL, which also helped with my weight loss. I am sure it is not for everyone but, give it time and do your blood tests so you can find the right level of meds that you should be on. Don't give up on it quite yet, it takes time, your Thyroid is a major hormone controller in your body. This medication is not going to work miracles over a 3 month period, it probably took you much longer than that to figure out that you had a Thyroid problem it is trying to balance you out.
