I am on this medication for severe tachycardia and hypertention. My numbers read, Pulse:146, BP: 152/102. Since taking this, my hedaches are gone, my chest pain is gone and I feel calmer. I use to feel "reved". I do have some nausea, but it doesn't last long. I was on it last summer and my doctor's did not tell me to decrease it slowly and in the heat of summer I had the potential of fainting. Well, that happened. When the bottle was empty, I did not know it was to be filled, my doctor was not monitoring me well enough, even though my BP's were through the roof. Lower back and leg pain. My Dr. said take 1/2 to 1 tablet twice a day. If I take a whole tablet about 3 times a day, I am good. I'm a bit sleepy just sitting at my desk but no other problems. Better than pain meds that make you feel funny in the head. by DOUG from Metaline, WA

I started taking 30 mg at night to help me sleep and also to supplement my anti-depressant (Zoloft). It worked good - too good. I had trouble waking up in the morning and often slept through my alarm. I started taking it earlier in the evening (around 7:00pm). This worked great. Slept soundly. Then I noticed I was gaining weight quickly. I gained 25 pounds in 3 months. My appetite increased - I especially craved sweets. I told my doctor that the weight gain made me even more depressed and I felt terrible. My clothes wer too tight, nothing fit me anymore. I stopped taking it and right away, I could not sleep. I was lucky if I got 3 hours of sleep a night. I started to lose weight though - lost about 4 pounds but then had trouble sleeping. My doctor put me on 7.5 milligrams per night. I gained the 4 pounds back immediately. I stopped taking it. My doctor put me on Seroquel.
