I fall asleep at night very easily without any meds, but I wake up in 2 hrs and can't go back to sleep. I take Temazepam and Ambien nightly and, if I am too anxious to relax, I add Xanax. I've been on prozac for about 4months. It has helped my depression, but I am tired all the time. I feel like I'm dragging my body through the day. When I am off work I sleep about 12 hours and a 2 or 3 hour nap during the day. When I'm at work I'm thinking about how many hours till I can go to sleep. Be very cautious if you are going to try the Arimidex. The first 2 weeks taking this med I had the nausea side affect pretty mildly and was pain free. It was like a miracle drug for Fibromyalgia pain. The med leveled off in my system and I continued to take it. After about 6 mos I started having severe IBS attacks which I blamed on the Fibromyalgia. I went to an internist and many tests were performed over the next several months. After 12-13 mos of taking Arimidex I went on medical leave and my PCP took me off all meds to see what was happening to my body since there was nothing physically wrong with my gastro system. My BP was through the roof, I lost at least 3-5 lbs a week and couldn't leave my bathroom. I went off the Arimidex and approximately 7 - 10 days later my body started to recover and the IBS had stopped. My FM pain was through the roof and the migraines were terrible and my BP was dangerously high. The Arimidex had ravaged my body far worse than the FM had ever affected it. I was off work for 10 weeks and spent literally thousands of dollars in medical tests to see what was happening to my body with them all coming back in normal range. My stomach lining was very irritated and I was on some hefty stomach and gastro meds to try to alleviate the symptoms. Stopping the Arimidex was what worked to alleviate all of the issues. I am now on 2 separate Blood pressure meds because of what the Arimidex did but I am off all gastro meds.
