I've been having stomach problems since December 2007. Each time I ate something, it felt like I got a kick in the stomach. The pain was getting worse, after bigger meals. I decided to eat 5 small meals a day, but it didn't help much. I've tried, Nexium, Prilosec, Protonix. Finally, after few abdomen sonograms, MRI, colonscopy, endoscopy and nuclear scan - my GI doctor decided to put me on aciphex and Alesse. I can finally switch from blend food to normal food. Although I stay away from deep fried, greasy and spicy, at least I can enjoy eating again. Highly recommended for those with the same stomach issues. Immediately it eased my depression and anger. I also have lots of energy but side effects are horrible. strange dizzy sensation in my head off and on, insomnia, diarrhea, restlessness (extreme). I'm also jittery. No weight gain so far. Not sure if I will continue... by DYLAN from Santa Paula, CA
I have found it obvious when I am not on it. Focus and clarity are amazing. I was on an intense grad school load along with 50+ hour a week job and a large family. It allowed me to sleep more than 4-6 hours too. Mood swings were a problem but nothing like other drugs. If it were not for recent weight loss I would give it all 5s. Btw I go without for two days sometimes. I also forget to get a dose here and there...this encourages me when I see the addiction possibility. The only thing worese about taking this med is coming off of it - on it for 3 months and the extreme headaches, nasuea, consitpation, and inabilyt to concentrate were only outmatched when I started to tape off this med under doc supevision - a long and terrible process by RONNIE from Declo, ID
