Doc had me try gabapentin (no pain relief), then tramadol (some pain relief first couple weeks but had to keep increasing dose to max, which then caused serious side effects and had to withdraw slowly), physical therapy (no help), back to gabapentin at a slightly higher dose (helps a little...allows me to reduce tylenol and ibuprofen daily doses), and then finally received my first cervical epidural steroid injection. I will continue taking Lopressor as long as needed. It helps so much with pain and muscle spasms, and also allows me to sleep better. I wish docs were not so afraid to rx carisoprodol. I had an ear infection with temp. going to 104.5 and my doctor gave me this Rx of Mirapex and told me the only worse side effect is that it you have in on an empty stomach it will give you bad cramps. So i ate a hearty meal and took the tablet. First day was okay since I was too fatigued due to the fever but the next day I was dizzy, light-headed,issues with balance, moody and for some reason I had this cool feeling every time I would take a deep breath , also to mention was this awful taste in my mouth. After taking it for the second day I got much worse and was going to places not planned at all....like i was in someother world! Today was the 3rd day and I did not take as I cannot afford to harm my health & well-being plus i also need to look after my boys !
