Have been taking for about 3 months now. Started with 80mg, had problems. Among the worst was extremely agitated. Got upset, felt like blood rushing to my head, felt like something was about to happen. Had to lay down to calm down. Reduce the amount to 40mg and kind of tolerating it. Headaches, muscle weakness and pain, head whirling, sinus aches daily and infections, back pain. BP not reduced so far as much as would like. Lasix (Brand) really helped my add. i was on concerta in highschool and i made me depresses, so i went off add medication for a year, then my dr. suggested adderall and wow what a difference, i can actually focus, be productive at work and school and not feel the depressing effects of concerta. I took Topomax for 8 months and was up to 600 mg daily initially for seizures but then increased for migraines. I had confusion, difficulty concentrating to the point I had to carry a note pad around to make lists to remember things. I had bouts of depression, crying jags, headaches, migraines and generally felt like a zombie. I finally convinced my neurologist that I needed to changed medications and he switched me to zonegran which has been great for me. I absolutely feel like myself again. All of the previously mentioned complaints are gone and (thankfully)I have resumed a more normal life. immediately after starting this medication my pressure went to 120/80. Several months later I got severe pressure in my head that after two days I also had difficuly walking a straight line, my doctor and neurologist sent me to the emerceny room, then admitted me. They did a cat scan and a mir which showed nothing. Its almost two months since this started and I still have no clue.
