I must be lucky. I'm on 37.5mg 2x per day, have been for about 4 months. After 5 years of depressive symptoms & then being diagnosed with PTSD, I have to say my life has completely turned around. The only side effect has been minor headaches, but thankfully not daily. It did take some time to work & some days I am "moody" but I chalk that up to the normalacy of life. I get along better with everyone, can drive, be in groups & deal with stressors better than I remember. I was put on Baclofen in 2002 and at first it seemed to work pretty well; I was able to handle the pressure of my job. Now when I first started it I had to call in to work because my eyes dilated and it made it hard to read; I think that wore off in a few days. I think it may have been the 2nd month (could have been during the 1st) I suddenly gained 20lbs; and I worked a physical job. I do believe it was during this time the medicine started to have no effect. I stayed with it because I wanted to be better and I thought it would help. I finally gave up on it after about a year and just stopped taking it (I know, bad). I noticed after being on Baclofen that I get more angry (and easier) and can't control my emotions like I once could; I'm more emotional. Obviously everyone is different so my experience may be completely different than yours. All I know is now I wish I had never taken that medicine, I am more depressed than ever, slight paranoia has been added to the mix, I still can't control my emotions as easily and can cry or get pissed at the dumbest little things that didn't used to bother me before Baclofen.
