I started out w/ 30 mg which wasn't enough but it worked for a while then I went to the 75 mg which was like a ephedra/caffenine/adderall/fire running through my veins. I didn't sleep fof days even when trying to not take it and then taking sleeping pills and cyclos. The week after I pulled myself off, I was almost narcoleptic and fell asleep at the wheel, getting me a Wreckless driving ticket. So then we tried 50 mg and it was relatively uneffective...almost just like having a cup of coffee. I've now switched to concerta 54mg...wish me luck. This drug has been very helpful to me. I have been using it in the 5-10yr range, however, now it is causing chronic kidney disease and I was told to get off of it. I tried using it very sparingly - 3 to 4 days a week for a while and my kidney function went up but on the days I didn't take it I felt horrible -- could hardly move. Then my ankles started swelling. I thought it was my heart but it was my kidneys. A doctor once told me that I had a choice. Feel good now and take a couple of years off your life or feel lousy and die younger.
