I didn't know Tenormin was also used for involuntary quivering and using too much alcohol, but I will say this - although my migraines haven't decreased, the involuntary quivering I was experiencing in my head and neck has stopped completely and if I cross the one beer boundary, I feel nauseated, so in those two respects, this drug worked fabulously! Unfortunately, the complete and utter disconnect between the vocabulary repository (that I hope is still) in my brain and my mouth is unacceptable [and probably would be to anyone who speaks/types/writes for a living]. Tenormin is doing a good job of stabilizing my mood, but I didn't particularly need it stabilized, so I've ended up in a state of permanent disinterest. If anything, I'd say I'm straying towards depression, not mental health. I've had no problems sleeping; in fact, I'm tired all of the time. I'm in a constant mental fog ... not exactly dopey, or stupid-feeling, just not quite all here. I've had no tingling in my extremities, but I have had numbness around my lips. I had no appetite for the first two weeks, which was fine since nothing tasted good anyway. After that, my appetite returned with a vengeance. Despite not eating for two weeks, I've lost no weight. Couple all of the above with the cost - $230 per month for 100 mg per day - and I've decided that Tenormin is not the drug for me. Took 30 mg a day for thirty years and helped me cope with work and raising a large family.About ten years ago I stopped taking Tenormin and for a while smoked Cannibas.I still use Tenormin for stress and find that a 5 mg tablet is sufficient to take the edge off. Left a review on 3/17/2010, another effect this medication has is weight gain and getting rid of that weight gain has been very difficult.
