I just started taking nucynta ER 100mg. I was in a car accident in January when I fractured my C2 and injured my spinal cord badly. I was taking percocet 10mg for months for a burning, stabbing, and itching pain that I still feel in my upper arms due to the spinal cord damage. The percocet stopped its effectiveness leaving me sleepless many nights and also in tears. After I told the doctor my symptoms, she described that what I'm experiencing is neuropathic pain. I tried to take cymbalta for anxiety and pain relief but the nausea was way too bad to stand some of the good side effects. I've only been taking nucynta for a week now and I love it. I feel more like my true self again for the first time since before the accident. I had no withdrawal symptoms during the transition from percocet and no noticeable side effects at all other than good ones. I recommend symbalta to anyone taking percocet who is trying to get away. Now all that is left for me is to find something for my anxiety and depression. Any recommendations other than cymbalta and celexa? Something that doesn't cause nausea. by STEWART from New Auburn, MN
Dr. prescribed this to replace Motrin 800, three times daily. Don't see any differencewith this over the Motrin - both have left me with continued and constant pain. I wrote a day or so ago, by now I had hoped the effects of this medication, as much as I have been to the bathroom, and the chills the sweats, the vomiting, it would all be out of my system but I am still feeling like crap and my joints all hurt, I can barely walk.
