I have been taking this drug for 4 years. I see alot of people are having some of the symtems that I am having. In the first few days I noticed I wasn't sleeping as much ...that was av ery good thing. By day 4 I had a great day - even went shopping BY MYSELF!! Day 5 through 2 weeks I went downhill. I had dry mouth, sore throat, dizzy, confused, lethargic, unfocused, chest pain, slurring,cough, shaky, queasy, vomited, stomach cramps, my tongue felt like it was an inch thick, increased thirst/urination, loss of appetite, swollen nasal passages and started getting very sleepy again!!! The chest pain was the WORST!!! I thought I was going to have a heart attack. My doctor replaced Cymbalta with Xanax, so if you have depression that isn't getting better you might talk with your doctor to see what is right for you if you're having ANY of the symptoms I described. I just went through a very bad divorce and bad experience at church. I work with the same people I used to go to church with and even the same person he had an affair with so I was a wreck. I took this medicine only being 22 and the first day I felt high as a kite. There after I just felt really loopy and couldnt get my thoughts straight. Once I had been on it for a week, I couldnt sleep at night and then it stopped working. It's like my depression got worst and I was crying non stop all day long. I was really better off without it. My 9 year old son started on vyvanse 50mg about 7/10, after having taken focalin,& concerta (multiple strengths). He is now on vyvanse 60mg along with intuniv 3mg (stabilizer).
